Melbourne Storm great Cameron Smith broke the record for the most points in NRL history against North Queensland Cowboys on Friday.
Smith moved past Hazem El Masri's total of 2,418 points when he slotted through a penalty early in the second half, receiving congratulations from team-mates and opponents and celebrating with his children.
The 35-year-old trailed El Masri by two going into the match but drew level when he converted Will Chambers' try on the stroke of half-time.
It represents the latest piece of history for the Storm captain in a distinguished career that has included NRL titles in 2012 and 2017.
Smith already held the record for the most NRL appearances (now 389) and the most State of Origin appearances (42).
